Vira received B.F.A from Silpakorn University and in 1962 he received a Scholarship to further his education in Italy at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. The artist applied traditional Thai painting style by showing subjects in his works in two dimensions without perspective. He also adorned his expertise of water colors on the prints at the end of his printing process. Vira’s works resembled the early period of Thai visual art, which combined both western techniques and Thai spirit. Vira was a Professor at the Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silapakorn University. He was awarded five medals in painting and graphic arts from the prestigious National Art Exhibition in the 1960s, exhibited in International Exhibition of Graphic Arts, Yugoslavia, Germany, Japan, France and U.S.A.
